About Us
A Small Business Built on
Big Letters.

In 2013, Jen was 8 months pregnant when she was laid off from her full-time job as a graphic designer. At the time, Keith was working as a mechanical engineer for an American Fortune 500 corporation.
In his spare time, Keith had designed and built a wood cutting machine. It was collecting dust in the garage, so Jen began dreaming up ways to put it to use. She started cutting alphabet letters for nursery decor, and opened her first Etsy shop. Through that shop, the idea of Forty Eight Hour Monogram was born. Jen also grew as a new business owner.

Fast forward a year and the business had expanded to include 3-letter custom monograms, name signs, and font selections. It also moved out of Jen and Keith’s garage and into a small warehouse with some office space. Jen and Keith started working together as a team. Keith left his corporate job to run the business, and Jen did the design. Soon the demand outgrew the two of them and employees came along!
To think that a dream that began in a little garage in 2013 has turned into this business is unbelievable. The business, product line, and team continues to grow, and our offerings have expanded to include new materials and finishes!
